Power Spectral Density Specification and Analysis of Large Optical Surfaces

چکیده
The 2-dimensional Power Spectral Density (PSD) can be used to characterize the midand the high-spatial frequency components of the surface height errors of an optical surface. We found it necessary to have a complete, easy-to-use approach for specifying and evaluating the PSD characteristics of large optical surfaces, an approach that allows one to specify the surface quality of a large optical surface based on simulated results using a PSD function and to evaluate the measured surface profile data of the same optic in comparison with those predicted by the simulations during the specification-derivation process. This paper provides a complete mathematical description of PSD error, and proposes a new approach in which a 2-dimensional (2D) PSD is converted into a 1-dimensional (1D) one by azimuthally averaging the 2D-PSD. The 1D-PSD calculated this way has the same unit and the same profile as the original PSD function, thus allows one to compare the two with each other directly.

Power Spectral Density Analysis of Purkinje Cell Tonic and Burst Firing Patterns From a Rat Model of Ataxia and Riluzole Treated
Introduction: Purkinje Cell (PC) output displays a complex firing pattern consisting of high frequency sodium spikes and low frequency calcium spikes, and disruption in this firing behavior may contribute to cerebellar ataxia. Riluzole, neuroprotective agent, has been demonstrated to have neuroprotective effects in cerebellar ataxia. Here, the spectral analysis of PCs firing in control, 3-acety...

The present paper introduces the Bayesian spectral analysis as a powerful and efficient method for spectral analysis of photometric time series. For this purpose, Bayesian spectral analysis has programmed in Matlab software for XZ Dra photometric time series which is non-uniform with large gaps and the power spectrum of this analysis has compared with the power spectrum which obtained from the ...

In this paper, we introduce a wavelet method for the description, approximation, analysis and simulation of optical surfaces. We describe the new method and show results of several numerical experiments for relevant applications in optics. We focus on three main aspects. First, we describe a highly accurate representation of smooth optical surfaces in terms of a B-spline quasi-interpolant. This...

The importance of the equipment and secondary systems in seismic design and performance evaluation is well recognized and has been the subject of many studies. In all of these studies, earthquake is considered as a single component, and in most of them the primary system is considered as shear building. Most attention has been concentrated on the response of secondary system and its response sp...
